    Owned For: 3 Years
    Engine Size: 1.6
    Good Points: Handling & Smile-ability
    Bad Points: Corrosion repairs
    Rating:

My first 5 is the Mk2.5 and I absolutely love driving it.

The car handles really well, in most conditions. In those conditions where road-holding is minimal (very wet & snow / ice) the car just puts an even bigger smile on my face!

For the most part, the experience of owning and driving an MX-5, is very rewarding. It can put up with almost anything you put it through and then some.

Other than the 'common' corrosion issues they are pretty bombproof really.

If you've thought about owning one, even if it was only for a few seconds, you MUST find one...
    You'll regret it if you don't!! :D

    Owned For: 1 YEAR
    Engine Size: 1800
Good Points: handling , looks and comfort
    Bad Points: rust ?
    Rating:

What a car seems to get better as I use it more......respnsive when given the beans and surprises many other cars in the twisties as it can corner and out accelerate most other stuff.
Nice comfortable interior you can drive with one hand on the weheel and one hand on the gearlever and play a little game of everything falls to hand as the switchgear and buttons are all in easy reach.
It is absurdly easy to work on and has a basic injection system that is not full of too many "emissions" gubbins has a massive following and even gets the grudgin respect from the "it's a hairdressers car" but really they would have one .
Gets loads of looks while out and is even better with roof down.

    Bad points:

Noisy from rear with roof up but conversations at 80mph is no
problem.........."it's a hairdressers car" ........ price of coil pack......and I have noticed that pedestrians can not see it sometimes if they are crossing the road between cars looks like it is below thier line of sight.

Recommendations: Buy one you know you should.
