Thanks, Chris - but why the hell did he fit the old, holed exhaust back on - especially when he had a better one???!!! 

 

His levels of mechanical incompetence seem to have reached a new low lately, even for our HubNut! 

 

He bumbles and fumbles around his old bangers with a whole new bumbling, fumblingness! 

 

It's so 'HubNut'   ...It just wouldn't be the same if he did it right would it? 

 

Keep 'em coming though, Chris - it is pure entertainment 

 

Quite right Kev, surely it would have been better (and quicker) to re-fit the better manifold once he'd realized his mistake rather than 'bodge' something else and then fit the wings again! 

And even more so having gone to the expense of a new coil unit!!

I wuz thunking...seeing Ian with a socket wrench in his hand made me think of a gorilla with a machine gun!!!  

 

At the end of the 2nd video he said, "It's definitely the time to call it quits I fink" ... Never has a statement been more profound!  

 

He's such a nice chap though - he should stick to driving and reviewing

I always warm to people who can laugh at themselves and just be authentic without any BS. It also makes us feel a little better ourselves knowing that we are not always surrounded by perfect types   

 

I must add though, after he mentioned the "home schooling" for his adopted children - let's hope that today's science subject wasn't A Beginner's Guide To Basic Automotive Engineering

I'm sure you will agree that those two clips were undoubtedly the worst HubNut bodgery we have ever seen! (So far). I kept on thinking of Frank Spencer throughout the clips!! 

 

I am still not sure whether this is all pure theatre, or actual, real-life, HubNut shenanigans! If it is for real, I am also beginning to doubt his previous 'nice guy' demeanour in favour of a rather frustrated, bad-tempered fellow, possibly borne of personal insecurities and mechanical incompetence! 

 

I really hope I am wrong, but I sense that his lady friend and the "boy" suffer a degree of verbal abuse when he goes back indoors after a session in that cold, miserable, desperately untidy garage. It's the "shut up!" and the edgy atmosphere, even on camera, that make me think this way 

 

I sooo wish he would stick to road testing - he is really good at that 

 

But really, really bad at DIY car 'repairs' 

 

Actually, being serious now, he mentioned that people might unsubscribe after watching those clips.

 

He is clearly conscious of that possibility.

 

It would be a great pity.

 

He needs to take stock.

While I understand the whole 'banger-nomics' idea he puts forward, ...I don't see why he needs just so many 'heaps of crap' in his life!

(Yes we've all had a heap or two in our motoring careers!)

 

Surely 2 or 3 'slight less heaps of crap' would be better seen as his family has suddenly expanded!

 

And while it's entertaining in a way of misery, as you say the increased swearing , and innuendo don't add anything to his channel.

 

He always seemed an amiable/bumbling but likeable fellow .....up to now!

 

'Miss Hubnut' may live to rue joining the channel!
