Apart from all else, I would not have full confidence in car that only has 3 wheel fasteners! (2CV excepted, of course!!  ;))

Yes... I'd admit to that worrying me too Kev!

I figure that you use the term "fix" very loosely, Chris?!

Dear God, Ian makes for painful viewing when he's 'fixing' stuff!

I bet he'd do a nice cheap service on your ND - you should give him a call  :giggle:

I'm not watching 28 minutes of Hubnut wittering to see if Chris or Kev is right! :stomp:

(Although I already know it is Kev!)  :(

Thank you, Chris!! Am I really the only 'lifer' who watches these clips?

I have to admit, that little flat twin sounds really smooth now - more by luck than judgement, methinks...

Two notable quotes from the clip:

1) "I love my life" (said with more than a little tinge of irony)

2) "In no way are these videos meant to be instructional" (Well, thank goodness for that, Ian!)

Thank you, Chris,

I'm not going to confess to watching them... not much anyway. I usually get to a point where he says things like, "I could put it on my table if it wasn't covered in 'an unknown term'." He then proceed to put the manifold down the floor of the garage. It is just so wrong! I am glad my father didn't see it!

I share your toe-curling, cringe-worthy emotion, Martin, but there's still something compelling about the HubNut video clips. Maybe I am living in hopes that he will one day furnish us with a sudden, unexpected flurry of mechanical prowess that will surprise us all!  :o

Then again, I just wish he would continue to do road tests on rotten old cars, which he is actually very good at!  :)

Where would we be without the great British eccentric...?  ;)

Thank you once again, Chris, for more mechanical mayhem!

I was delighted to see Miss HubNut asserting herself a little more and Mr HubNut allowing her to 'write her own page'  :)

I had to cringe, though, at painted body panels being put straight down onto the hard concrete ground!!

Only at HubNut !!

Is that his partner or daughter ?

She is his most recent partner, Pat - his previous lady moved away about 2 years ago.

He would get a slap if he talked to me like that

As I've noted in previous posts, he can be a bit acerbic towards her---especially unacceptable on film, of course---but thankfully he seemed a little less 'tetchy' in that last clip.

She is clearly bright and very willing to help, so I hope he treats her with respect when 'off camera'

Thank you, Chris.

As you know, I was a fan of Mrs Hubnut, so I shan't comment on the charming young lady who seems to be suffering from a bad case of Hubnut.

(I resisted using an 's' on the end of that as I feared Kev might have snickered).

I have to confess that I have simply stopped watching Hubnut despite subscribing to his channel.

I enjoyed his NZ trip but since his return and new hook - up, he has become an ever increasingly annoying knob.

I really don't know what has got into him recently but it may not be entirely legal.

Less than "good times" by a margin.

I agree, Steve, there has been some marked changes in his attitude and general demeanour.

I am wondering if it has something to do with becoming an instant father (he is well over 40 years old) having previously been free from paternal responsibilities. His terse and generally impatient responses to Miss HubNut also make me wonder if this 'relationship' will be for the long term...
