CAR Magazine did a feature on these guys recently and then I came across their YouTube channel via Gordon Murray’s Mk1 Escort http://www.mx5life.c...y’s-mk1-escort/

I think they deserve a thread on here.

I’d love to have the cash for them to do a Mk1.....maybe squeeze in a V8 while they’re at it.

A Retropower Mk1 MX-5 was my first thought when I saw their work.

Thank you again, Jono. Wonderful clips.

The concept of being able to buy a 'new' old car is so charming. I want an Austin-Healey 100 M... I know suffer a drop in performance... but I am willing to suffer.

As the Gordon Murray Escort nears completion there’s a new project.

Project Utah.

Yes!!!.....Couldn't get any better for me as an Ex Mk1 Escort owner (and Jaaaaggggg fan)...

To a Mk2 Jag!! (albeit in a slightly different guise).....which, co-incidentally is the car I remember most from my youth!

COP 52C probably long since gone to the great scrapyard in the sky!!  :(

Thanks Jono....

Really looking forward to this, unlike some of the 'purists' he talked about....why not bring a Mk2 into modern times?

As much as I appreciate 'older motors'.... I can get with the ideas here.

It'll be a hell of a car I think.
