I still cannot accept that horrible, synthetic, high-pitched whine in place of what should be the unique MGB exhaust burble.

I adore MGBs but even in period in Australia they rusted fast!

We own a MG  that I bought for Linda to deal with her mid life crisis. The exhaust note of that 1.8 L is the best of any car I have ever heard.

Now, that is one car that would actually benefit from an EV conversion! 

 

Even the strange, high-pitched electric motor whine would be curiously in-keeping with this oddly eccentric little Japanese retro rust-bucket.

 

I would still prefer a 2CV...but please don't tell Mr Garffey!!  ;))
