It’s been 57 days since I’ve driven the ND. Or any car actually.

I have to visit work on Monday and have spent the last couple of days washing, waxing, vacuuming and checking the car prior to setting off.

For safety reasons I felt a test drive was essential.

I’ve just got back.

The silly grin on my face confirms all went well.

The ND is a fantastic little beast! Nimble, delicate and quick. I love it.

I’m now looking forward to the drive to work on Monday.

I think I’ll take the scenic route...for safety reasons of course.

Roll on Monday!

It almost makes going to work fun.

I took the long route round to fill the ND's tank yesterday, only 99.9p per litre too.

Well done Jono!...

Have to say, as I never really stopped working that it was a pleasure to drive to and from work during 'lock-down', as the roads were so quiet....

Sadly traffic had picked up quite significantly yesterday when I was leaving work..... :(

I am glad you took your ND out for a blast, Jono and even more glad that it was still able to put a "silly grin" on your face after 57 days of ND-less 'lockdown'.

I have been to the St John's Garden Centre in Barnstaple, 12 miles away, for three consecutive days now, to cheer up my hitherto rather neat and sterile back garden.

It is astonishing what I manged to fit into TeeVee - two large terracotta pots, several trays of bedding plants and two bags of John Innes No3 compost!

Garden now looking splendid and Kev with a "silly grin" after each trip on the 'old' road

Wonderful news, Jono!

I sincerely hope your essential journeys will be accompanied by wonderful weather.

Loving my essential drives to the supermarket and some times forgetting a couple of things on purpose to give a reason go back later:) All washed, waxed and even cleaned the interior for that and of course longest route home. Smile on face of course
