Only just seen this

Hope all is repaired now

Yes, thanks Pat, all fixed but expensive. Master and slave clutch cylinders plus the rod that is down on the clutch pedal (it had snapped) so very close to £600. They did realign the drivers door too but that's a long story!
Driving on Christmas Eve and my 'engine' light came on! Bugger. I'll leave it for a few days until Julia and the twins have gone back to Cyprus on Tuesday, She's RAF and based there for 3 years.
Seems like my 13 years of near faultless driving this '5 has come to an end. Hope it's true that things come in threes so this should be the last of them!
Hope you had a lovely Christmas.
X

No, I'm afraid I haven't. They only cost £20 odd but I don't see much point unless you know what to do when you get the cause of it. Might as well take it to the garage and let them diagnose and fix it.
I'll give it a couple of days until the twins have gone back to Cyprus, I'l be taking them and our daughter Julia to RAF Brize Norton early Tuesday morning for their flight back to RAF Akrotiri.
It's been so lovely having them with us over Christmas, it's going to be a very sad day in our house on Tuesday, it will feel really empty.
Here's a couple of examples of them, I can't remember if I've shown you the twins before but here goes, ignore if I did!
One on 2020 New Years Day when I rode down to see them.
And the second one is just yesterday when we told them to smile or die!

I have one of those reader thingies, only cost £10

and have found it to be very useful in the past

we took Flo to a garage once to have her diagnosed and their system and Flo wouldn't talk to each other

they wanted to charge us £35 for trying

needless to say i refused to pay !

Thanks Kev,
I only have to drive to Brize Norton and back to Gloucester. Julia has to wait, with the twins, for the departure time (0900), 4.5 hour flight and then I think a friend is picking them up at the terminal. At least they land at RAF Akrotiri and the married quarters are on the camp so not far to go when they get to Cyprus.
