^^....Yes, it's become quite the feature up there Steve, with a huge carpark/ visitor centre.

Was hoping to get near the Cliff edge for the views, but there was no way of escaping the sun all the shade seemed occupied....and especially as we'd already been subjected to if for the previous 5/6 hours!  :giggle:

So we headed into the woods at Kilburn.

Old age for both of us. A youngun has bought her and will give her another lease of life that I am not going to spend on.

It has been a long time coming Kevin. I do not do enough miles to justify paying to have the sills welded. The MOT expird back in February. I have managed fine with the Renault for the odd shopping trip. I sold it for spares or repairs and a lad offered me my asking price, so I took it. End of. I can now buy a new mobility scooter that I have seen.  It may be illegal, but it will carry a pillion passenger. Don't see enough Police to worry about getting caught, and what can they do anyway? They ca't take my licence as that isn't needed for a scooter.  I can run Luba about on that for a change from the Renault.

think so Nick. How many youngsters would hire a recovery truck rather than chance driving 20 miles with no MOT? Even if they stretched the truth a little and booked an MOT near home. He had a good look round and a drive and knew well what he was looking at.

Dropped Itchy at the coachworks :bye: for repair to NSF wing and bumper after some kind person scraped them for me
The rest of him is for a total machine polish to restore the flattish paint finish on the rear bumper and mirrors as photos.  The lacquer peel on the OSF wing will just have to stay that way
May get it treated when the hardtop gets fitted and painted Blue to match him rather than current not brilliant black.
I am going to visit tomorrow  :grouphug:  for photos of the A/C condenser to try and get a match.

Roddy, I am shocked.

When it finally goes you are numb for a while but it doesn't get that much worse, I find it sneaks up unawares and it hits you again and again.

I've owned a road car and a sports car since 1978 and I miss the sports cars.

However, I cherish the memories and am happy to remember.

Take care of yourself, Roddy.

Wasted most of the day trying to get the horns on the GT6 to actually work when required.  Eventually decided that it is the earth return through the steering column shaft that is suspect  and may need bridging links across the collapsible joint.  Managed to destroy the spring loaded brush in the steering wheel boss so now waiting for a replacement.  The whole "design" is a total pigs ear, it would have been better to have fitted a horn with a rubber bulb to squeeze, much more reliable.

Nick, I think I have a spare brush for your car - a genuine Triumph part - I'll have a look tomorrow and send it to you if I still have it  :)
