Notice you have a sport graphite model.We have a 63 plater and found the gearbox to be notchy and sometimes difficult to select gears smoothly especially from a cold start. Mazda dealers has now replaced the gearbox oil with a thinner Honda gearbox oil and the gear change is now very silky.

The six speed (earlier version) sometimes suffered this, (and for the mk3.75 Mazda made a few changes to the gearbox internals) however I haven't had any problems as such, but good to see your dealer offering you a solution!
