Maio,

I'd keep a weather eye on that radiator from time to time especially at the bit the plastic top meets the alloy matrix.

When they go olive green/brownish the plastic has weakened with age and fails slowly. No panic..you'll soon smell it than feel it but I'd keep a tin of Radweld & some water in the spare wheel meantime come summer.

thanks man

where am i looking for this tell tell sign exactly? can you see in the image i posted warning signs?

I actually bought a set of hoses as i was going to replace them all, however decided that may be too advanced a project right now for my skills haha... i need the car daily right now so cant risk it being off the road.

As for the smell, what should i be expecting there? :p

(ps i have a bottle of fluid in the boot, as it was slightly leaking when i first got it!)

Basically the sweet smell of boiling antifreeze will find it's way into the cockpit.

Not awfully surprised it was weeping tbh given the plastic colour.

They sometimes just hiss & spit a bit and give you time to deal with it, but equally they can go quite dramatically.

Fortunately new radiators are cheap as chips.l
