I always think the interior of the MX5 looks rather black so a bit of chrome to brighten it up (chrome vent rings that sort of thing) does not go amiss

Wannabe too much chrome can kill a car, so yeah subtle and sparingly.
One of the first things you see on a car is the grille, so I'd go for a nice mesh!
Have to agree a nice grille lifts the front of the MX5 - like the zunsport one on Eric

I like my Eric as standard, though I removed his Arizona mats as they were not good for safety (got wedged under the brake pedal). The first mod though, was essential- a grille.

Since then he has had lots and lots of wax and polish, some new tyres and an OC sticker. He needs some new stickers soon, when I am well enough to give him a proper clean. Ahhh he even looks pretty form that angle!!!

Ali - the colour co-ordinated number plate looks good

I reckon you need to get those LED's and maybe some foglamps too.

One of the problems with stickers and MX5s is you need more space to put them - if you drive topdown with the windows down then that only leaves the windscreen and too many stickers is not good for seeing where you are going!!

You are right on the LEDS, but it is my dream to have those rather then foglights, think they would looks good. Anyone good at wiring want to do them for me?! Yes ditto with the stickers. I actually don't like that picture- its one of the first i did and think it is a sloppy job, it's easier to blank out white, otherwise i think it would looks great plateless- but would take ages getting the colour mix right.

Maybe you could get some Eric show plates made up which you could stick over the top of the normal ones for photo purposes

Re wiring the LED's, maybe someone who works at a Safari Park local to you could be your man

I've done all of two what I would call mini-mods, not what you'd call drastic by any stretch of the imagination.
1. Clear side repeaters: Easy first mod for anyone, cheap and effective.
2. iPod AudioLink to the ICE: Brilliant bit of kit, not cheap for what it is but well worth doing for convenience, especially if you've loads of iPod tracks stored away.

Ok got SMD side lights and HIDS but still not wired up the fog lights lol it's easy you just get the kit from halfrauds by ring only thing stopping me is I what to use the proper connectors to the fog lights so need to find a smashed up Picasso..

Best mods? Anything that increases power or handling ability.

Worst mods? Anything that's all show and no go. Example: Huge ricer wings, 4" tailpipe cans, large amounts of camber, 18" wheels, chrome bits and pieces here and there, lowered to the point of not being able to drive into a driveway or over a speedbump.

Yeah, I'm not a big fan of any cosmetic mods TBH. It's all about functionality. If it doesn't help the functionality or driveability of the car, it's a waste of money. Just my opinion, of course. ;)

Love my Variable INtermittant Wiper Stalk
Definitely not a cosmetic mod but some cosmo mods are fine. Each to their own n all that.
I am looking to lower mine - by, about, the grand sum of 25mm and add a Good Win back box(muffler)
The bhp is not truly significant but she'll sound like she should already - and maybe throw in a K&N flat panel filter

Jot - when are you thinking of getting the exhaust?

Are you going to look for one at the Spring Rally and take advantage of the MX5 Parts show discounts?

always liked the sound on your Goblin, Stu
Mark: import Good Win from USA
Have contacts in Illinois so may be able to reduce postage as could be sent as GIFT which, apparently, will make it cheaper
Even the K&N Panel is cheaper over there so may get both
Decisions decisions :coffee:

I believe I've done all the mods I'll ever need on my LE now. Most weren't really needed, but it's nice to indulge yourself now and again. ;)
Oh, and I do like chrome bling !!!!

Eibach -30 springs
Intermittant wiper stalk
Clear side repeaters
Chrome rear view mirror cover
Chrome heater rings
Chrome filler cap
Reversing sensors
HID dips
LED sidelight bulbs
Mudflaps
Bonnet lifters

Think that's it.
