Ceramic snow foam

I use Auto Finesse ceramic snow foam on my other cars and it's amazing, it's super hydrophobic and the water just pours off the surface. But when I contacted Auto Finesse to ask them about using it on a mohair soft top they said to avoid it. So my question is, should I just not use it on the Mazza, or do I try to avoid getting it on the roof?

I would tend to take the view that Auto Finesse must have sufficient knowledge on the effect their product has on Mohair roofs to recommend that it's not used on them.

After a bit of head scratching I've decided to mask the roof off with plastic painters film when I do the ceramic snow foam treatment. It lasts a couple of months so not too much trouble.
