Help! Looking for a bit of advice here. Does the Cobra exhaust system (back box and tail pipes only) for the NC Mk 3 fit the Mk 3.5....

I think it's the new style rear panel that's the problem, a clearance issue. I also was on the phone to Cobra and MX5 parts. Cobra seemed unaware there was a problem and MX5 Parts confirmed there was. So it looks like it gonna be a custom built job coming up.
There is this company in Ayrshire called Planet Performance so I'll give them visit.

Just found this thread, I'm running a Mk3 ILM back box on my 3.5 with no issues whatsoever. The only thing I would comment on is that perhaps the tips could be doing with being 15mm or so longer but no issues with clearance at all so this directly contradicts MX5Parts own advice.

Hi Steve and Larry, Iain had his cobra exhaust fitted back beginning of august, same time as Coachman. He loves it. I did comment about it on Boycies thread when he asked for info from other 3.5 owners.
He's not on here very much

Did Iain and coachman purchase their cobra exhausts from planet performance?
If i remember correctly was it mentioned that they only paid £200 for them? Might be worth giving them a ring at that price.
Our company is working at Hunterston so i may be able to get one of the lads to call in and pick it up for me.

Larry, they went to a place in Shotts, North Lanarkshire, called Complete Auto Solutions. They had been recommended by a few other folk that they both know. This was the first time the company had fitted them to Mk 3.5s so asked them to leave the cars with them for a few hours. Lifetime guarantee too.
Both Donald and Iain are really happy with the service they received as well as the exhausts

The company say they'll do mine at same price if I ever want it done. But I now know of 2 Mazda back boxes going spare for my car, so in no rush
