In a nutshell whilst I'm going into my bookmarks, yeah the front lights for the Mk2 are a 2 cluster, and on the Mk2.5 they changed to a 3 cluster arrangement.
The dash dials on the Mk2.5 (what they call the NB facelift) are white changed form black on the Mk2 and a few other bits and pieces...one sec...

BenC, The spec varies depending on wether it`s a standard 2.5 or special edition. The most obvious change ie the `Shark nose ` bumper with fog lights/space for them.
Add the fog lights mate citroen picasso ones do the job perfect fit and are about £20-£30 on flee bay

I think the Mark 2.5 also had new slightly more powerful engines compared to the Mark 2 - VVT engines

I`m told the MK3 is lighter than both the MK2 and the 2.5, is this correct `cos it looks bigger.
I`m interested in the front fog lights if someone could send me a link please? Even second hand Iv`e been quoted £80/pair plus the switch. :(

I am not sure that the Mark 3 is actually lighter than the Mark 2 / 2.5 but I think Mazda tried to keep the weight as low as possible so there is probably not much in it.

My 2.0 Mark 3 is 158 bhp as compared to 146 bhp for the 1.8 Mark 2.5 and when I first got the Mark 3 it seemed noticeably quicker than the Mark 2.5 that it replaced, both being Sport models. I am not sure how the two compare for the official performance figures.
