Going home from work last Saturday about 7:55pm. The sun was still shining, it was a lovely Spring evening. I had the roof down and as I pulled up at a set of lights, a VW Eos with a blonde bint in it came up beside me and started hurling abuse about what an asshole I was for driving with the roof down. 'It's freezing ! You'll get frostbite on your baldy head, you wanker, get a life' etc etc.

I asked her did she not know how to put her roof down, but this seemed to incense her further. I also pointed out that the buttons on her car would be similar to those she'd find on a food blender which may help her operate her roof. She again continued in her rant that I was driving a girlie car to which I told her that the MX5 is the best selling sports car in the world as verified by the Guinness book of world records and that her car was just an ordinary car that happens to have a folding roof, if you know how to work it.

The lights turned green, you are the weakest link, goodbye ! :wave:

Have to say, this did take me by surprise, but it did make me laugh. :rofl:

I agree with stu and pav, what a A hole.. I've been asked do i cut hair and where my girlfriend is. Guess they thought i was a hairdresser and that i was driving a girls car.:rofl:. Guess they were just jealous of my lovely splash green mx5 jumpy.

oh good grief... sports car envy - it's not so much that the EOS isn't a proper convertible - they convert very well - it's just that it ain't a sports car... and never will be - whatever one does to it
