Although I don't really have a name for mine, it is considered by all the family to be Red Dwarf IV. Reason being my Yamaha TDM850 was Red Dwarf followed by my first VFR750 which was RD2, another VFR750 RD3 and now the MX5 is IV. The connection is all were/are red.

I tend to pick a name that's colour or no. plate related
Vehicles are always female to me but if she had to be male i'd probably have gone for Stewie(as in Stewie Griffin who sits on Storm's rear near the no. plate)

My baby is called Eric. He chose his own name, somewhere on his 100+ mile drive home on the day I got him. He is Eric, who lives at 29 Acacia Road, the school boy who leads an amazing double life.........for when he eats a banana....
Anyway, he is banana coloured, so it fits. And he likes it too 
My mx5 is called jumpy, as my username is jumpman23 so thought jumpy would fit well, plus i'm a big basketball fan and a big fan of a legend by the name of michael jordan. So i used the name of his own brand web site www.jumpman23.com

Lucy.
Short for Lucifer - 'cos she's a bit of a beast.
And in case that needs a bit of defence - stage 2 supercharger + Water Injection means around 210 bhp, 0-60 just under 5 secs.
As many a Porsche has learnt to their cost. And a few Scoobies. Even a couple of bikes.
