Help - driver seat repair query - 3.5 2013

Hi everyone, my driver seat has small tear (which is slowly growing) from seat belt retraction, can this be repaired with original fabric (if so, where near Merseyside?) or do I been to replace the whole seat 😳

Hi Tina...👋

Sorry to hear of your problem, I have no experience of Car Trimmers in your area, but I'm sure a quick 'Google' will throw up a few, and it will be far cheaper than replacing the seat!
Seats are often easy to repair, and not too expensively...
Hope you get sorted soon.

I had my seat repaired about 18 months ago at a local trimmers in Devon. They did a panel in the seat back and the base. He said they get a lot of MX5 seats!! The cost for both panels was £140. I decided it was better than buying a second hand seat as there was no guarantee that the material on the new seat wouldn't rip after I'd bought it.

Thank you - your seat is similar to mine. I Did think an older replacement may result in the same problem too! I’ll make some enquiries and provide an update 👍
