Gave the GM a quick wash today, not bad for 13yrs old later this year I reckon.

Yep, looks well Steve....The GM certainly lives up to it's moniker!.... 😏
This was 21/3/15 and one of the first 'meets' I attended!
I can't think why your car always had the bonnet open!!…🤣

Very, very nice that Steve, fantastic colour.
Also liking that blue NC in the photo above, presume that's your Graphite Garffey?

It was GD 😎... It's not had an m.o.t since last April, and last recorded mileage was 26,010 so it's either stored in a garage somewhere, or it's met it end! 🤔

Looking good, nearly bought a Green Sport Black when they came out, kinda regret not doing that sometimes!

Very nice, much as I like the colour of mine (Zeal Red IIRC) I think I prefer the Graphite in blue. I see the front badge is in graphite colour on yours, shiney silver on mine.

Ah, not standard then. You got me interested to see how my original 56 plate NC is/was getting on so I did a check on the MoTs for that. It is still tested and has been every year since I bought it new. Got just over 90k miles on it now, had just over 50 when I sold it in 2012, its mileage shows it has always had some use but had tapered off to about 2k/pa in recent years. Only ever failed one test which was a few years back and then was on washer fluid delivery, other than that it had a couple of advisories for tyres close to limit one of which was when I owned it! Seems like it's been well looked after in its 16 years.

Also checked back on our 2001 NB, that was not such a happy story :-(
Last expired Nov '20, a test was taken in Feb '22 but lots of corrosion related fails. Shame.

Yes must admit to doing that with my old cars GD....🤔
Like you for every good one there are some horror stories around rust, or again the car just disappears!

Strange thing is I can remember the registrations no problem (even though the NB wasn't mine) but I struggle to remember the reg' of my current car!
