Morris Minor body swap to MX5

I am building a MX5 NA with Morris Minor body swap and fitting a turbo.

Love the concept and the attention to detail upstream . maybe consider more commentary, purpose & intent etc. Didn't get the shouty bit after minutes of silence.

Interested in the project though.

Working on trying to make the video better, not really comfortable with speaking but I will be adding more commentary on part 2. "What are those" is a Meme regarding bad footwear.

I look forward to the final video! It is going to have a very high centre of gravity and a wobbly chassis so Turbo charging is such a good idea! 😅😡o_O

Everyone is welcome to comment with their opinion but it is just YOUR opinion. The only thing I agree with is looking forward to seeing the finished video. The centre of gravity is hardly going to be changed by the seat being raised 4 inches? I will be putting plenty of structure back into the chassis and cill/step area. More in fact than what the Minor or MX5 had. I will be also adding door bars. All of this is all below the centre of gravity. The car will be stiffer than the stock MX5 when finished.

That's quite right, I made some comments in recent posts regarding the VW Beetle and how hateful I find them, I must admit I felt a bit quilty after as I know that some people love them (who knows some of those may hate MX-5s!), we all like what we like and want what we want. So, yes, that is only my opinion.
Some of us simply buy what we want you have gone to a lot of hard work to create your dream, every credit for that. Although I do like building I don't like the business of 'reclaiming' mainly because fabrication is something I just don't have a talent for. Machined parts I'm just fine with but not tin bashing and welding. Also the act of spending so much time and effort to get something into the shape it should be in already doesn't sit well with me. When I was building my car I spent many hours cleaning up a set of Jaguar XJ6 disks and then I had I bright idea, why don't I price up a set? Turns out they were £25 IIRC, certainly around that. Now, fair enough, that was 25+ years ago but even then that wasn't going to break the bank. That made me re-assess my strategy on the build!

That's much better access now its on the jig.....And good to see the progress.
I did wince a bit watching you 'modify' the new footwear near the top of your leg though!....😨
