Steve Morecroft has looked after the 1997 Mk1 (Crofty's old car) and kept it going well for me.
I am looking forward to his turbo demonstrator - when he gets the parts!
Having sat in Project Christine with pilot Steve the word propulsion and Star Trek fit quite well - It certainly boldly goes!
Cant say enough good things about Steves skills and how he cares for MX5's.

This chap http://samgoodwin.com/index.php in Nuneaton was recommended by a colleague who drives 40 mile each way to have his mark 1 serviced here, I took my Mk3 for its service and front pads last year, was pleased with the results and price, and will be going back this / next month.

As well as servicing, he occasionally has cars for sale and can do hood replacements. Prices on his website. Cannot comment on the hood replacements though.

They are MX5 Mad - but that was started by Karl - who has now left to pursue other career opportunities, so they had to drop the MX5Mad name from the business.

I think so - I know they were having trouble with Jackson Racing, but I think most everything else is still on the books.

Just had the MK1 serviced at 5-Speed. As usual thorough and down to the fine detailing including oiling the hinges of the boot lid and foldy roof.
He also had a very nice 1.8 engine built up with a Flying Miata turbo waiting for a suitable car. I wish I had not seen it as I keep thinking about it.
