Hey guy, just wondered if any body was up for doing a rolling road day, to see what your bhp and torque figures for your mx5?

Well the closest one to me is Powerstation in Tewksbury! Had three runs done there before. If we could get quite a few of us it might be cheaper. Think it's around £75 to have a power run.

Yea they defo do, remember them from my old ford days.:rofl: I was thinking about getting a unichip fitted and mapped by them.:thumbsup:. Yea would be nice to try somewhere else. Defo sounds like a good idea. How much are they charging you for a service? and what service are you having?

Had my 5 done a few times and they're really good
Just a 12mth one this time as for price you need to talk to them and say I sent you :thumbsup:.

Also they used to do some of the Mazda race cars! and one guy is ex-mazda so when it comes to a 5's motor they know what they are doing......

What does it involve?

Well they strap your car down on rolling road, a bit like brake test rollers. Then they start driving it using low revs in 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Once in 4th they bog it down in low revs then rev it all the way to the limiter. Once done they will be able to show you a graph showing your power and torque. e.g. performance figures.

Ok this is good news at Aldon now they do it on Saturday mornings need to book min of 5 cars £30 each 10 plus £25 each with print out and he said they love doing it!

Would be nice to get some sandard cars as well i.e mk2.5 1.6 and 1.8.:thumbsup:. Thinking of having mine chipped soon so would be nice to get a base mark, also i would like to test which air filter is better for mine. e.g ugly goodwin racing one or sweet hks one.

Ok Just got back and they have worked wonders again Aldon really are top in my book plus they are really up for our rolling road day. They have done them for loads of owners clubs but not yet mx5's as the one guy worked for Mazda and the others kid had one they really want to get us in. At £25 if we get over 10 people it's also very cheap normal price is £65!

So lets get some names down and i will book us in as it would be a saturday morning we could also possible have a little run or pub lunch after :thumbsup:

btw, what's the gain on this? just to pop it on another road in a few years time and see if there's a dorp in figures?
