Temporary/short term insurance anybody?

Anyone used a temporary/short term insurer?
Just wondered if anyone had any recommendations.....The Cx-3 is due in May but as we should be switching to the new car by the back end of the month 🤞I'm loath to shell out the full premium of £328 (as I'm a tight wad!... 😁).
Found a few on-line so going to dive in and get some quotes, wish me luck!🤔

Oh wow!....Got one quote through for a months insurance at £260!😲
Second quote as screen shot, hmmm, looks like it's back to Hastings, pay and then cancel when the new car change comes!

Probably better to pay Hastings then cancel although usually insurers don't normally refund the full pro-rata amount. Is the new car not being insured through Hastings then ?

Hi Nick...
No, the new car will be insured through 'Flow' who are the Mx-5 insurers at present, while I've used Hastings in the past the renewal always comes in a bit higher...
Anne's quote on the CX-3 is about £60 more than last year....My quote for the ND (considering the on-going not at fault claim) is only £10 dearer...

Just had my renewal for the MX5 from Hastings and it's gone up £20. I had a quick look around and they were still the cheapest.

I had the bike insured through Hastings many years ago, but like with the car wouldn't have minded if it had just been £10/20 dearer....But the Cx-3 has gone up from £260 to £330 so a bit more than I'd like...going to get a quote from 'Flow' and see how that pans out....
