Further inspiration from Pistonheads (MX5 section)
Linky
I am more aware of the difference bet. my 5 and other cars as opposed to climbing up in to a diesel van .
However, i think some of my colleagues now sit shivering in the cooler months when i have the window open (not full but a few inches.)
Window open - heater on. I think it confuses them :D
Don't you find that someone gets in to your 5 and hits the seat hard cos it's further down they're used to?
Trouble is, i get in to a standard car and find i hit the seat too soon and now, regularly, crack my head on the doorframe.
I do get claustrophobic in other cars. They have the heater on fullpelt with nowhere for the air to escape.
My body is fine but i find i am struggling to breathe.

Totally agree with you Jo. I've found that since I got my first MX5 (over 3yrs ago) I don't suffer from colds like I used too. I'm sure it's cause I can be warm in my car without breathing in all the stuffy air you get in other cars. We get a constant flow of fresh air to breath while the heaters do their job of keeing body parts warm. Also, we not breathing in other people's recycled air with all their germs/bugs.

I certainly felt very good after lunch and ice-cream and company followed by a stonking drive home the scenic way thro' glorious Shropshire - a much underrated driving county :)
