Not sure why this particular car (2019 ND) is much more sensitive to cold weather setting spurious TPMS warnings than others I have previously owned however I’ll be glad when it’s a bit warmer and it stops!

Does the TPMS have pressure sensors in the wheels or rely on calculating wheel speed differences?
I always thought that they had wheel sensors , but according to google its this....
The Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) monitors the tire pressure of all four tires indirectly using the data sent from the ABS wheel speed sensors.
Can't say I've noticed more warnings in the cold weather, ( On the ND or Cx-3) last time mine indicated I was taking the car to service, I just used the cars compressor and set them with bar pressure (2.0) been fine since....

I believe that there are different TPMS types. My ND definitely had sensors in the valve stems but my son's Mazda 2 is different.
I didn't get to see when the ND had it's new tyres fitted....But know for sure there are no sensors on the tyre valves in the CX-3, they appear to be just run of the mill valves...🤔

ND2 has sensors, ND1 used the ABS ring.

Checked the pressures this morning for the first time in a while today since winter has retreated again… All 4 tyres were around 4 psi down on where they should be, i.e. around 25 rather than 29 so looks like the sensor was doing its thing and then resetting as all 4 were down. Reckon the recent cold snap has exacerbated this.

That’s the exact reason I was asking about the type of system. On the wheel speed/ABS style if all wheels drop by same amount as happens in colder ambient temp’s system won’t “know” as there’ll be no speed differential
