Yesterday i had a lovely return wave from the driver of a train

I shall add this to my list including man on top of a water tower and people in a helicopter:confused:

This got me thinking

What other unusual return waves have others had?

Me? A plane, I was stationary and parked up.

'some' MK3s do not respond... likewise, some mk2s.... oh and mk1s do not respond
i wave... i tend not to respond... why? cos i am the one waiting to be responded to...!
Oh but..... not unusual but a couple of years ago a chap in a red TR5 (or 4a) waved to me first.
I was quite overwhelmed and honoured

I often wave to any other convertible that may have its roof down (proper convertibles I mean - not these modern 4 seater coupe convertible things ) and get as many waves back, in percentage terms, as I do from other MX5s

I must agree. I get many more waves from MGs than MX-5s - but I wave first.:giggle:

I would agree if we are talking old MGs - the modern ones (MGFs) seem to prefer to drive roof up and don't seem to do waving

No you have lost me there :?: - why would we want to drive an MGF (whether it be made by Rover or the Chinese version) when we could be driving our MX5s?
