Many, many years ago I owned a Volvo 122s. Great car. 6volt system, candle power lights and a juddery clutch for good measure. Owners of 120 series would wave to me and I
to them.
Now I'm a newbie owner of an MX5 mk2.5 and owners of the same wave to me, and I to them.
All my life's a circle.

Us Mk1 owners flash our poppy up headlights at each other ....... we're quite mad sometimes, there are time when we don't go to bed until 10 o'clock :)

My wife wets the seat when she sees other 5 drivers wave, can't get her head around it. That's why I went for leather in George. I think it's really nice, but does separate the enthusiasts from the hairdressers, if you pardon the pun.

Disposable nappies are a boon Neil - also handy for when you go into bends too fast :)

I've noticed lots of wavers over the past year or so, the only thing that annoys me is that when I have to use the i20 I always see more MX-5's than I do when I'm driving mine!!!!!!!!!! DOH!
But I thought I'd post this little bit which is from the HOG (Harley Owners Group) newsletter received today by email. It's nice that all bikers, no matter what the make, nod or wave to other bikers.

It’s not just us
Corvettes and Wranglers are vehicles that also have a pretty hardcore waving contingent among owners, and classic Mazda MX-5 owners often use their flip-up headlights as a form of wave.

Like you DJ it's always been a biker thing with me too, a nod or a wave....
Was surprised when I experienced a wave with the Mx, and will now always acknowledge someone in an Mx, although the response I get is varied!..😉
