Well, I love all MX5s, but for me it was the lovely curves of the mk2.5 that made me buy one. I love mk1 pop up lights, but Erics curved headlamps are a piece of art

Why did you chose a 2 or 2.5?

I'm a bit of an MX5aholic
, think I've had 7 so far

My first was a Mark 1, then I moved on to a Mark 2, and then my lovely red Mark 2.5 1.8 Sport which I owned for 6 years
(why did I ever sell it?), and have since moved on to a Mark 3 and my current Mark 3.5

I bought an old Mark 1 for track use when I owned my 2.5, but by the time I decided to sell it I had moved on to the Mark 3 and didn't really want it as my only MX5, so bought myself my current BRG Mark 2 in 2010

Really any Mx is good I like the MK1 because it harks back to the sixties with pop up lamps and simple practicality and retro looks but the Mk2 is the one for me especially the 2000 model Icon...
the mk3 with chunky aches and slightly agressive looks is great as well but the NB is the one for me the MK3 has been governed by more and more emission regs and has become more technically advanced at the expense of the earlier versions and a dilution of it's original premise even on the MK2 it was becoming less of a revolutionary car.......maybe the mk4 will revive the spirit .
