YCR Porsche 911 restoration...

I know I've linked videos from Yorkshire car restorations with the Mx-5...
They also have another project that is a Porsche 911, which I've been avidly following as the 911 would be the only German car I'd entertain could I afford!
There's something almost hypnotic about rust repairs to music!!...😵....And the car looked a good one to start!

Thank you, Chris! Great fun.
I haven't watched the videos, sorry Chris. You know my feelings on German cars. However, the 911 Targa was strangely close to my heart as a close friend owned one back in the 1980s. However, the problems of rust in 911s is well documented. The Coupe's 'C' pillar is (or was) a torturous rust trap with three sheets of steel very close together. I thought 'he's dodged a bullet' in a Targa!
How wrong could I be...
I love having my prejudices reinforced!

An astonishing amount of corrosion in that old Porsche, even given it's age. The 39 year-old 911 was certainly hiding a multitude of sins beneath it's respectable external paintwork.

I do wonder if all that work and fabrication is really worth the final huge expense though...?

A great set of videos, Chris - many thanks for posting 😃

Thank you, Chris. The Porsche Targa I mentioned above needed a clutch master-cylinder and that cost AUD$2,500 all those years ago!
