Mazda MX-5 Venture Edition launching 1 February 2012. This new Special Edition will feature a host of unique specification over the standard model range.
The MX-5 Venture Special Edition has been designed with both traditional Mazda MX-5 customers and the premium Roadster Coupe customers in mind. Featuring increased levels of luxurious specification, the MX-5 Venture combines unique colours and premium interior trim with advanced technology.
The name "Venture" aims to tempt our Mazda MX-5 owners to take to the open road in the world's best selling roadster. The unique features of this Special Edition, such as the premium navigation system, encourage drivers to seek out new roads and more interesting journeys to fully appreciate the fun to drive characteristics of the MX-5.
Based on the Mazda MX-5 1.8i SE Soft-Top and 2.0i Roadster Coupe Sport Tech derivatives, this Special Edition boasts an array of features over the standard range, including high quality Havana Brown leather heated seats co-ordinated with a stylish interior design and, for the first time, a Sanyo TomTom satellite navigation system. The exclusive interior trim is complimented by unique exterior colours, offering an eye-catching combination with Radiant Ebony Mica, Crystal White Pearlescent and Metropolitan Grey Mica.
Specification has been chosen to provide a unique offering for customers, including light gunmetal 17" alloy wheels, piano black fashion bars, piano black deco panel and exterior Special Edition nomenclature. Premium design cues flow through to the interior with brown leather seats and door inserts, leather steering wheel and handbrake all feature contrast stitching. Both models have sporty alloy pedals and the MX-5 1.8i Venture includes cruise control for the first time on this derivative.

Nothing excites me about the Venture - I think I'll stick with the Green..... :D
i think that is a good idea
Once again, anyone wanting to be faithful to soft top motoring gets penalised for wanting that when they may also want a 2.0L
I couldn't afford a change anyway and have no desires to lose Storm from my life

Agree with you on that one Jot..............I wanted 2.0L soft top and got one in SE form.......now they only do SE in 1.8

Exactly - why can't they give the option of the 2 litre with a soft top?

To be honest, I love the opening hard top probably cos I'm lazy and like pressing the button (and I am used to the automatic soft top on the S2k)!

Anyone seen any photos? Interested to see what colour the "Havana Brown" interior is? I'm guessing a lightish beige / tan colour rather than a chocolate colour, as can't really see a darker brown working too well with radiant ebony (which is black with a bit of red in it, so it looks purple from a distance).

What is a "deco panel" and a "nomenclature"?

Is this Mazda's last spurt before the MK4 comes along?
hiding behind a design? nomenclature?..... ;) .... i feel a Clouseau moment coming on..... 'minkey', 'burm' etc etc
the 'deco panel' s probably the dash panel
but
'exterior Special Edition nomenclature' - wtf?.... not truly sure this word has been used correctly.
noun
1.
a set or system of names or terms, as those used in a particular science or art, by an individual or community, etc.
2.
the names or terms comprising a set or system.
