MAZDA MZD CONNECT INFOTAINMENT UPDATE TO THE BEST AND LATEST.

Be Advised I will No Longer offer Any Support to Mazda Owners who Do Not obtain these Genuine Mazda Firmware Files from Me.
If you Download from YouTube or Other Links then Do Not ask for any help from me if or when it goes bad. Most of the other 'suppliers' do not offer any Support or include Full Instructions and or are issuing the wrong files for your Country or car.
I am simply not prepared to waste my time when some of you are impatient and or cannot wait for my reply(s).

Most PC Browsers (Google Chrome or MS Edge) offer Translation from a drop down, top far right.

L00K: AS OF SEPT 2025 IN 95% OF UPDATES MOST OWNERS ONLY NEED THE ONE EASY UPDATE,

THE OLD OUTDATED 70.00.100 IN 95% OF CASES IS NOT NEEDED* AND YOU ARE AT RISK BRICKING YOUR CMU (Mazda Connect) BY INSTALLING THIS 70.00.100 TWO FILE UPDATE.
STOP Installing ANY 70.00.100 Files Unless Instructed by me to do so.!
PLZ STOP READING OUT OF DATE ADVISE ON WHAT TO DO.
PLS
STOP INSTALLING OLD FILES WHICH ARE NOT EVEN NEEDED.
* Only used as a transition update on cars made before 2015 and Never Updated Before.

WARNING: DO NOT USE ANY SMART PHONE TO DOWNLOAD FIRMWARE AND INSTALL OF FIRMWARE ONTO small USB FLASH DRIVE. ONLY USE A WINDOWS 11 PC - LAPTOP.

For ND MX-5 the Current as we know it Generation 6 Mazda Connect (Above) has finally been changed to the Generation 7 from the 2024 NE MX-5 Model Year onwards to the Widescreen (type/look).. and No you can't change Firmware from Gen 6 to Gen 7 :).

As ND Owners know the Mazda Connect (round red knob home screen) has been around a long time since the 2014 BM Mazda 3 and has had many bugs and issues over the years like most brand Infotainment systems, FINALLY though the Latest and LAST Firmware Update is great, all of the bugs are gone and works much faster then versions before it.
Plus with this version number 74.00.324A you can also install the wired Carplay-AndroidAuto Conversion Kit (which is the new Aux Hub or Box and a pair of new thick USB Cables) that plugs in between the new AUX HUB and CMU (silver unit under the touchscreen inside dash).

With this new 74.00.324A Firmware Update the system works much faster and smoother, but you do not have to
do the CP/AA Conversion if you do not want to, this 74.00.324A is the Final Update for all Gen 6 cars and always remains CP/AA ready, but again you must buy and install parts to Activate it, there is no other way.
DO not install CarPlayTM-AndroidAuto Parts until you have updated Firmware FIRST. If you install new parts first AND THEN 74.00.324A Firmware CarPlayTM-AndroidAuto will Never Work, you must Reverse your parts installation 100%.

Anyway I strongly recommend you update your Mazda (MZD) Connect Firmware to the bug free update.
We can no longer freely add any download links in open car forums, however I can privately supply you this update via the forums 'Message' system, just click on my AVATAR and see the message box in bottom right corner, click on this to start a Conversation with me.

So in this message I need to know some detail about what Version you are currently using, for NDs in 99% of cases you ONLY Need to do this ONE Update, but we must check for your cars well being before you run update.

I ONLY Issue Genuine Mazda Firmware and ONLY go by the Mazda Dealer Instructions (.Pdf).
Please I do not do AIO Tweaks at all as it is way too old and has too many bugs, sorry please do not ask about it as I cannot help you, my recommendation is if you have Tweaks is to now install this latest 74.00.324A and it will automatically remove car back to stock.

So, there is Basically 3 different Regions or Country firmware types to upgrade, either EU N (Europe or UK), NA N USA, Canada and Mexico) and 4A N (ADR) Australia, NZ, ME, South Africa and parts of Asia.
I cannot obtain any specific Japan or JP M Firmware at all.

What you must do is sent me a pic of your screen with the Details in your car today, this is what you do, see Mazda method below......

For MAZDA CONNECT.
For Private PC Usage Only:

To Update MAZDA (MZD) CONNECT I Need to know what FULL Version Number is used in your car today.

1. Go to touchscreen red 'SETTINGS',
2. Side Scroll to Top Far Right gold Folder 'SYSTEM',
Scroll Down to 'ABOUT'
3. Touch 'Version Information'.

FULL Version Numbers and or Region Letters are revealed.
Next ONLY send me a Picture of this Version Information SCREEN.

I now ONLY issue out the correct Genuine Firmware when you supply above in a Picture, it's for your CMU's Updating Safety. PLUS it's to Confirm your car Does NOT have Any Mismatch of your 2 x Connect Files.

Also tell me (confirm) in what country is your Mazda NOW driven in as some in this Forum use VPNs that hides your real user country.

So send me the picture in your message to me and I will return with all the info and link you need to update your Mazda Connect, depending on where your version is now this update fixes a minimum of 50 different bugs and issues from outdated 70.00.100 and even more if your car is older than 70.

Click Here to 'Private Message' me for DOWNLOAD LINK..Click HERE!

PLEASE DO NOT ASK for FIRMWARE FILES in MULTIPLE MAZDA FORUMS.?

Hi Jeff

Welcome along

Can you link or share the URL to whichever forum this is?
Hi Ian,
I am Ash, Jeff is a Veriticalscope Admin who gave me link to MX-5 forum.

As I Messaged you about the link(s) I issue are to my Server to supply any Mazda owner (including ND and ND2 with Gen 6 MZD Mazda Connect Firmware, the updated 2024 NE has upgraded system from Gen 7 Mazda's which also has Alexa like new 2025 CX-70).

We are not permitted to post live links in open forums so this is why it is done privately, so far am over 2000 various owners who have home updated their Firmware to the latest and best 74.00.324A EU N, or NA N or 4A N, depending on your Region or Country.
From there many do the CarPlayTM-AndroidAuto Hardware Update which I can help.

The reason I ask for the information above in Green text is to verify what is currently running in your Mazda, it is critical that updates are done correctly. They are not difficult to do @Home but there is a proper procedure.
Unfortunately some owners in Europe see a Youtube video with Download links and install the wrong version like NA N for North America, and or brick their cars CMU because they did not update correctly or were not supplied correct instructions.

I do not do AIO Tweaks as it is too old and outdated.

I am a former Mazda Manager of fixed operations in Australia, Spare Parts and Service for many years and recently retired, I am lucky I still have great contacts in US, Germany, AU and Middle East.

All Firmware updates fix bugs and working issues with Connect,
I will post a final Mazda Changelog list.

To read firmware numbers is done from left to right (remove the dots),
The Higher the full number the Newer the Firmware.
74.00.324A is the final and latest for all Gen 6.
7400324 is newer than 7000370 or 70.00.370.

Europe/UK Final OS for MZD Connect.

Hi. You may have seen or answered this question, but my 2023 MX5 firmware is 74.00.324 and NOT 74.00.324A. is there a difference? My system is slow/laggy and I'm frustrated that such a new car can have such weak infotainment. North America, btw.

Thanks in advance!

There is no difference between the plain number or 74.00.324A with A, the exact same Firmware.

Mazda took a long time to upgrade the NDs Infotainment System, this was done for 2024~ models.

My suggestion is to clear your Connect by doing a FACTORY RESET, see in Settings, engine must be running.

Make certain cables between Phone and car are Genuine phone brand, your phone is updated to its own latest firmware.

Hi.

My name is Bruno Mauro and I bought at about 2 months a 2021 MX-5 ND, which came with the 74.00.200 EU N firmware.
Thanks to ASH8 and the instructions made available by private message, I upgraded to 74.00.324 EU N without any kind of problem.

Thanks for sharing information, it helps immensely to know the car better.
